The Client
A California public safety agency that can't be named publicly. What we can say: they needed video surveillance built to evidence standards, on a tight public budget, and Bezemer serves public agencies statewide.
The Challenge
Two requirements pulled against each other. Evidence preservation demanded 120 days of retention across every camera, which drives storage and system costs up fast. The approved budget didn't move. And because this is a public agency, the equipment had to be NDAA and FIPS 140 compliant, which rules out the cheap hardware that usually gets projects like this under budget.
What Bezemer Built
A nine-camera system designed view by view instead of camera by camera: a 180-degree panoramic covering what would've taken three fixed cameras, a quad-head multisensor doing the work of four, a dual-head, a bullet, and domes where domes made sense. Two viewing stations, with search, review, and evidence export handled through Genetec Security Center. Every component NDAA and FIPS 140 compliant, and retention engineered to hold the full 120 days.
